Second Corona LRT station switch repair on Sunday
Metro Line operating between Bay and NAIT LRT stations
This Sunday, February 7, some LRT passengers requiring use of both the Capital and Metro Lines may need to transfer trains in the Downtown core in order to reach their destination.
Trains will be sharing a single track at the Corona LRT station while crews perform a switch repair. To keep Metro Line service running at a 15 minute frequency, Metro Line trains are being adjusted to operate between NAIT and Bay LRT stations (as opposed to Health Sciences station).
The planned switch repair will take place between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. For safety, trains traveling in both directions will divert around the workers and share arrivals/departures on track one between University and Bay stations. Sharing one track requires reduced train speeds in this area.
