Himig Pinoy for the first time in almost 20 years will be airing from once a week to five times starting this week.

Program manager Rolan Latorre made the announcement on Facebook to inform Filipino listeners to tune in to 101.7 World FM and get updates about the Pinoy community starting from 5 to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday.

“We’re feeling nervous and excited,” said Latorre, who is the head anchor of the program that used to be on air only on Sundays, 7 to 10 p.m.

Original Pilipino Music(OPM) can be requested by phone or through their Facebook account and the latest news from the Philippines ranging from the activities of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to the Philippine Basketball Association games are reported by Latorre and his crew.(p.e.n.)
