Go backs BOL ratification, bats for dev’t projects in Mindanao

ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR (Philippines News Agency) — Former Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go on Tuesday assured Zamboangeños that he and President Rodrigo Duterte will support the continued development of Zamboanga Peninsula in the form of various projects and initiatives.

Go said in an interview over Date Line Teleradyo, a Zamboanga City-based public affairs program.

In past interviews, President Duterte assured “that the government remains committed in fulfilling its promise in giving an equal share of the national wealth to Mindanao.”

Duterte has sought for the implementation of the BOL to help areas in Mindanao achieve needed progressive development and lasting peace.

Go, who is gunning for a Senate seat in the 2019 elections, told interviewers.

Go, a long-time aide of Duterte and a fellow Mindanao native, said he would also push to enact programs that would benefit Mindanao and its provinces like those in the Zamboanga Peninsula.

“Most importantly, ang education. (Mahalaga din), of course, itong usaping pangkalusugan. Go added.

The former presidential aide has a legislative agenda that covers agriculture, housing, improved delivery of healthcare services, education, long-term sports development, fire protection and prevention, localized peace talks, anti-drugs and criminality drive, anti-corruption drive, barangay welfare, the creation of a Department of OFWs, and improved benefits for senior citizens.

Tutulong at tutulong po kami,” Go said. (PR)
