Edmontonians invited to share views on Snow, Ice Control Policy

News Release
Share your thoughts on residential winter road maintenance

The City is reviewing the way snow and ice are managed on neighbourhood roads, sidewalks and shared use pathways. Edmontonians are invited to share their views on the City’s Snow and Ice Control Policy at a series of drop-in engagement sessions, or by completing an online survey.

Public Drop-in Sessions: February 26 – March 14, 2019
Online Survey: February 20 – March 31, 2019

The Snow and Ice Control Policy and associated bylaws lay out the timing, service standards and responsibilities for how snow, ice and seasonal parking bans are managed by the City and residents. With the changing winter weather in our region, the policy may need to be adjusted to deal with more ice, freezing rain and freeze-thaw cycles.

Feedback from Edmontonians will help shape recommended changes to the program for the 2019/2020 winter season.
