Philippine Consulate General Calgary office reopens with bigger space at new location

News Release

BIGGER PCG CALGARY OFFICE OPENS TO THE PUBLIC

Calgary — The Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Calgary re-opened today to the public at its new address at Suite 100, 1001 1st St. SE, Calgary AB, T2G 5G3.

The new PCG office occupies the whole ground floor of a three-storey building and has a bigger space than its former office.

“We really looked for a bigger office so we can serve more Filipinos applying for consular services from Alberta and Saskatchewan, especially when the COVID-19 pandemic is over” Consul General Zaldy Patron said.

He, however, added that the PCG would continue to follow the public health measures of the Alberta Government during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, the PCG processes passport applications by appointment and non-passport applications, such as authentication of documents, retention and re-acquisition of Philippine citizenship, and civil registration, by mail.

“Unlike in our previous office, our new office will also allow our clients to transact with our personnel in separate cubicles so we can observe privacy,” Consul General Patron added.

Consul General Patron personally welcomed the first clients who came to the new PCG office at 9:00 a.m. today. END.
