City invites input on neighbourhood renewal, alcohol consumption in parks pilot project, and Greenlong Towers rezoning
The City of Edmonton invites residents’ input into projects, policies and initiatives that grow our communities, establish government services and prepare our city for the future. Below are current opportunities for Edmontonians to shape their city.
Changing neighbourhoods to meet changing needs:
Boyle Street and McCauley Neighbourhood Renewal. Review the detailed maps and design illustrations for the neighbourhood renewal project and provide your feedback through forums, polls and surveys found at engaged.edmonton.ca/buildingboylemccauley until September 30.
Pleasantview Neighbourhood Renewal. Neighbourhood Renewal continues in Pleasantview and we want your thoughts on how to improve the area. Share your feedback through an online survey until August 12. For more information: edmonton.ca/BuildingPleasantview.
Greenlong Towers Rezoning. Share your feedback on the proposed rezoning of properties on the northeast corner of 115 Street NW and Jasper Avenue NW. The proposed rezoning would allow for the development of two high-rise, high-density towers with commercial uses and row housing at ground level known as Greenlong Towers. Feedback accepted online until August 15 at engaged.edmonton.ca/greenlongtowers.
Defining what Edmonton will look like in the future:
Alcohol consumption in select river valley parks pilot project. The City has launched a 19-week pilot project to allow alcohol consumption at 47 picnic sites in select river valley parks. Submit feedback on the pilot by completing the survey at edmonton.ca/surveys.
City Council Public Hearing on August 17. Edmontonians are invited to speak to Council on bylaws and related reports. Register to speak in person or remotely.
Details about City public digital engagement activities are listed online at engaged.edmonton.ca with all opportunities at edmonton.ca/publicinvolvementcalendar.
