Over the past 24 hours, we ID’d 1,584 new cases & completed about 13.3K tests. On Sept 11, we ID’d 1,497 new cases from about 12.2K tests. On Sept 10, 1,659 new cases were ID’d from about 14.6K tests. Complete, up-to-date data can be found here. https://t.co/ZXjL7BGYwA (2/6)

We need more Albertans immunized to prevent such outcomes. We know vaccines can limit new cases, & help prevent severe outcomes, & hospitalizations over the long term. We must work together to reduce transmission to protect our health system & our communities. (3/6) https://t.co/trp8fAPEoq

Sadly, 18 new deaths related to COVID-19 were also reported to Alberta Health in the last 24 hours. My sympathies go to the families and friends of these individuals and to all who are grieving today. (4/6)

We are at another challenging time in this pandemic. As we respond to growing case numbers, I want to remind Albertans that it is critical that we focus on combatting the virus with the preventative measures that we know to be effective. (5/6)
