Eid al-Fitr: Statement from Premier Kenney

Premier Jason Kenney issued this statement on Eid al-Fitr:

“With Ramadan coming to an end, I wish all Muslims in Alberta and around the world a happy Eid al-Fitr.
“I hope that Muslim Albertans have been spiritually enriched by the difficult Ramadan fast. As families gather for traditional Eid celebrations, I wish them a joyful celebration of the end of the fast.
“Thank you to our Muslim communities for the care and compassion that they demonstrated throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and for the good works and acts of charity that the community continues to perform.
“May you enjoy peace and blessings as you celebrate Eid this year. Eid Mubarak.”
