Calgary — The Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Calgary is leading a webinar on 18 November 2022 at 5:40 PM (Mountain Standard Time) / 19 November 2022 at 8:40 AM (PH Time) to inform the Filipino-Canadian entrepreneurs in Alberta and Saskatchewan about franchising opportunities for Philippine brands.
The PCG is co-organizing the webinar with the Philippine Department of Industry (DTI) and the Philippine Franchising Association (PFA).
The PCG has also partnered with the Philippine Business Society of Alberta (PBSA), United Filipino Entrepreneurs Association of Alberta (UFEA), Philippine Business Council of Calgary (PBCC), Philippine Entrepreneur Society of Saskatchewan (PESOS), and Saskatoon Association of Filipino Entrepreneurs (SAFE) Inc. to help promote the webinar among its members.
“This webinar is meant to open more doors of opportunity for our Filipino-Canadian entrepreneurs who may be looking for new businesses to undertake in Alberta and Saskatchewan,” said Consul General Zaldy Patron.
Consul General Patron added that the upcoming webinar would be the second part of the PCG’s business webinar series to support the Filipino-Canadian entrepreneurs in its consular jurisdiction.
On 19 October 2022, the PCG held a Webinar on Setting Up Businesses in Canada with Calgary-based corporate lawyer Henry Villanueva as the resource person.
The Webinar on Franchising Opportunities for Filipino-Canadians will feature speakers from the PFA and five Philippine companies that are interested in expanding in Canada. These companies are Golden ABC, Caffe La Tea, Famous Belgian Waffle, Nails.Glow, and Oryspa.
The PFA will give an overview of the franchising industry in the Philippines and will also explain how to invest in a Philippine franchise.
