Become an Edmonton fire cadet!

Do you know a driven high school student interested in trying new things, developing their leadership skills and meeting new, like-minded people? Edmonton Fire Rescue Services is accepting applications for its next class of fire cadets where students in grades 10 to 12 can build their employment skills all while experiencing what it is to be a firefighter.

Through a mix of classroom and hands-on programming, each fire cadet learns the importance of mental and physical wellness, leadership, community involvement and teamwork. Fire cadets can earn up to six high school credits for their involvement in the two-semester, 10-month program, beginning September 2023.
