ALBERTA NDP EXPOSES SMITH’S HIDDEN AGENDA IN RED DEER AND AIRDRIE

RED DEER – Alberta NDP Finance Critic and Lethbridge-West Candidate Shannon Phillips was joined by Alberta NDP candidates Michelle Baer, Jaelene Tweedle, Dan Nelles, and Shaun Fluker to outline Danielle Smith’s hidden agenda impacts on Albertans living in Red Deer and Airdrie.

“With only a few days left in this critical election, Albertans are faced with a choice – they can choose to build a better future under trusted leadership with Rachel Notley, or they can move backwards with Danielle Smith as she continues to spur chaos and instability while supporting extremists,” said Phillips.

“You can’t trust Danielle Smith. Her hidden agenda will cause so much harm to Alberta.”

Smith’s hidden agenda is as follows:

Forcing Albertans to pay to see a doctor;

Selling off public hospitals;

Stealing Albertan’s pensions;

Firing the RCMP;

Hiring 5,000 tax collections;

Paying polluters $20 billion.

“We know who the real Danielle Smith is,” said Michelle Baer, Alberta NDP candidate for Red Deer-South. “She has told Albertans who she is, over and over again, and we have no choice but to believe her own words.”

“Danielle Smith and the UCP want you to pay to see a doctor and charge your credit card when you visit the emergency room,” said Jaelene Tweedle, Alberta NDP candidate for Red Deer-North. “While they want to sell off our public hospitals to private operators, Rachel Notley and the Alberta NDP will build the ones we so desperately need.”

“Danielle Smith said she would fire the RCMP and replace them with a provincial police force,” said Dan Nelles, the Alberta NDP candidate for Airdrie East. “This won’t improve public safety. It will only make life more expensive for Albertans during the most challenging increases to the cost of living in 40 years.”

“We’ll provide better health care, better education, better jobs, and make life more affordable,” said Shaun Fluker, the Alberta NDP candidate for Airdrie-Cochrane. “Rachel Notley is the only leader you can trust to build a better future for Alberta.”
