Expanding employment supports
We’re expanding career and employment services for Albertans.
Through Alberta Career and Employment Information Services (CEIS), Albertans can be connected to career, employment and training opportunities.
CEIS offers a wide range of services, including job placements, career counselling, and short work-specific courses to eliminate barriers to job searching and employment.

Increasing access to apprenticeship training
We are investing $15 million over three years to support unions in delivering apprenticeship training—creating up to 650 new seats each year in high-demand trades!
This builds on our $78 million commitment in Budget 2025 to grow apprenticeship opportunities across the province.
Unions play a vital role in building a strong skilled workforce. With targeted investments like this, we’re opening doors to rewarding careers and supporting our economic growth.
