Downtown Farmers’ Market kicks off for a fun-filled 2026 season
The Downtown Farmers’ Market is back for another fun, festive and flavourful season in the downtown core. The market, run by the Edmonton Downtown Business Association, kicks off this weekend, on May 16. It runs every Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., until the end of the summer. Visitors can shop for farm-fresh produce, meat, prepared foods and hand-crafted goods, take in performances from local artists and enjoy one of Edmonton’s much-loved patio spaces on iconic 104 Street, from Jasper Avenue to 104 Avenue.
The 104 Street Entertainment District is also open every Saturday during the Farmers’ Market, allowing patrons to enjoy food and beverages, including alcohol, out on the street within the District. It’s a great opportunity to support your favourite local businesses, while taking a stroll through the market.
Getting there:
As a reminder, 102 Avenue is fully closed to vehicle traffic from 102 Street to 107 Street due to Valley Line West LRT construction. North/south vehicle access is maintained only on 105 Street. Pedestrian access is maintained, but detours are in place. The market can be accessed easily using the Bay/Enterprise Square LRT Station, which offers a direct underground connection to 104 Street. For cyclists, the 102 Avenue protected bike lane is currently detoured to 103 Avenue, with racks available throughout the site.
The City values the work of local businesses in the heart of our city, and we’re working hard to ensure they have the conditions to grow and flourish. The development of robust events and spaces brings an abundance of cultural vibrancy and expanded economic activity to our city while supporting the Downtown Action Plan, which looks to create well-activated and accessible spaces that create lasting connections between places and people.
