Electric night – 32,000+ fans rock at Commonwealth Stadium for Guns N’ Roses World Tour


‘Welcome to the Jungle’ — 32,200 fans gathered at City of Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium for a ‘Paradise City’ performance by hard rock legends Guns N’ Roses with The Black Crows as the opening act.

“Edmonton fans are absolutely electric — there is no energy quite like this when celebrating legendary rock bands in our city,” said Heather Seutter, Director, Commonwealth Stadium. “We are beyond thrilled that Commonwealth Stadium was selected as a stop on the Guns N’ Roses World Tour. Hosting stadium tours and welcoming world-class artists to Edmonton is a major win for our community. These concerts bring tremendous energy and excitement to Edmonton, while delivering meaningful benefits to our local economy and strengthening our cultural vibrancy. They attract visitors from near and far, support local businesses, create jobs and bring people together for unforgettable moments.”

Hundreds of stadium staff worked behind the scenes with Live Nation and Ticketmaster to deliver a safe and seamless event, including more than 510 security guards, 115 ushers and customer service staff and 125 City of Edmonton event staff. Edmonton Police Service (EPS), Edmonton Transit Service (ETS), emergency medical and first aid personnel, along with more than 150 merchandise sellers, were also on site to ensure a safe and secure event. Stadium Foods led a team of more than 800 concession and food service providers, while Transit Peace Officers and EPS officers provided additional public safety support.

Rock fans were encouraged to arrive early and take public transit to the event, including ETS Park & Ride and LRT service. Concert tickets served as transit fare, allowing attendees to show their ticket as proof of payment when boarding any ETS bus or LRT train.

The City and its event partners provided proactive information to ensure public safety, quality services and customer support to help fans have a memorable and safe experience.
