Eight games will open the 2016 Philippine Sport Association-Crosstown Auto Centre Spring/Summer Basketball League on Sunday, March 6 at the Father Michael Troy gym in Edmonton.
Barako Boys, who enjoyed a championship win last season, meet Sunlife Financial in the curtain-raiser at 8 a.m.
Maldito plays AMDG at 9:20 a.m., Team Elite takes on Grey Nuns Hospital at 10:40 a.m., Team Eswar versus CRS Force at 12 noon, Team Insulator faces Tune Squad at 1:20 p.m., Knights against X-Men at 2:40 p.m., ADM&Friends against Pacific West at 4 p.m., Eye Ballers vs. Mike Drywall at 5:20 p.m.
The PSA is a non-profit sports organization in Edmonton headed by Joey Doctolero.
PSA is now entering its 21st year in serving the Filipino community by organizing basketball and volleyball leagues to promote camaraderie.
Crosstown Auto Centre, whose president is Filipino-Edmontonian Joe Medina, has been supporting PSA by providing jerseys for the 600 players entered this season.(p.e.n.)
