Remembrance Day Service at City Hall

The Loyal Edmonton Regiment, with the City of Edmonton, will host a Remembrance Day ceremony in City Hall to honour military veterans, serving members and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country in times of war and peace.

Date: Wednesday, November 11
Time: 10 – 11:30 a.m.
Location: City Room, City Hall (indoor limited capacity) and City Hall Cenotaph on Churchill Square (outdoor viewing)

Seating in City Hall starts at 9:15 a.m. and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority is given to those who are participating in the ceremony and have accessibility needs. Guests are asked to arrive at City Hall no later than 9:50 a.m.

Following the service, an outdoor procession will move to the City Hall Cenotaph for two minutes of silence and the laying of wreaths.

Attendance at the ceremony grows each year. When City Hall reaches capacity, guests will be directed to Sir Winston Churchill Square to view the service on a large screen near the Cenotaph, where the second part of the ceremony will take place.

As we mark Remembrance Day, the Loyal Edmonton Regiment and the City extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends, colleagues and fellow service members of those who lost their lives, and to all those affected by the tragic incident at CFB Wainwright on October 17.
